Recover data lost due to accidental removal of memory card
Memory cards are being used so widely nowadays, that you hardly find any portable device without a memory card in it. The reason for this is the compatibility of this storage media, and its ease of use. The user does not need to be technically sound to handle memory cards. The user just needs to insert the memory card into the device, and start using it. Once he is finished using the device, the user just needs to remove the memory card and insert it into a card reader to transfer the data from the memory card to his PC.
Though this procedure sounds easy enough, it is this very procedure that contributes to data loss from a memory card to a great extent. Improper handling of the memory card could lead to loss of valuable and important data. The data loss can occur due to the following causes,
When a memory card is unplugged or removed in such a manner, there are high chances of the data present on the memory card getting corrupted or lost. The only way you can avoid data loss in such a manner is to make sure that you wait for the Read/Write process to complete, and then remove the memory card once you have stopped the device. If you are unable to avoid a data loss situation, it is best to make use of a data recovery software to recover memory card data. Memory Card Recovery software lets you recover deleted/lost photos, music and video files of all well known formats from both NTFS and FAT partitions on Windows.
You can follow the steps given below, to successfully recover all the lost/deleted photos from the digital camera.
Step 1: Remove the memory card from the camera, connect it to a healthy PC where Memory Card Recovery software has already been installed. Launch the softawre by selecting it from the Programs list in the Start Menu or by double clicking the desktop shortcut. The main window is displayed as shown in Figure 1. From the main window, select the "Recover Photos" option as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2: From the next window, select the "Advanced Photo Recovery" option. Once you select this option, the software displays all the physical and logical drives connected to the PC as shown in Figure 2. From the listed drives, select the memory card, which is displayed as a logical drive and proceed to the next step

Step 3: Clicking on "Next"opens a new window which displays a list of file types. You can perform an additional search for files based on their unique signature by selecting the file types provided. You can also skip this process by selecting the "Skip" option and continue with the regular scanning process as shown in Figure 3.

Step 4: Once you click "Next" the software begins scanning the selected memory card. Once the scanning process is completed, the recovered data is displayed. There are two options using which you can view the recovered data namely, "Data View" and "File Type View" as shown in Figure 4. To preview the recovered data and evaluate the recovery results, you can make use of the "Preview" option

Step 5: The "Save Recovery Session" option helps you to save scanned information. This helps you to avoid scanning the entire memory card again, once you purchases the full version of the software. Once you are satisfied with the recovery results, you can purchase the full version of the software, activate it and load previously scanned information using the "Open Recovery Session" option and continue with the saving process.
